Spire Payments deploys over 14,000 SPm20 mPOS devices with the leading rail transportation company in France
Spire Payments, Europe’s leading independent POS endpoint and Fintech provider, has now deployed over 14,000 of its SPm20 mPOS devices with France’s leading rail transportation company on a project expected to deploy up to 17,500 payment solution configurations over 100 distinct sites. Used by train conductors and railway sales agents alike to collect payments “in the station” and “in transit”, the sleek CB 5.5 compliant SPm20 connects via Bluetooth to a PDA and a mobile printer and is capable of contact and contactless payments with one of the industry’s best transaction processing times. Recognised as the largest deployment of such mPOS technology in France and in Europe to date, and leveraging the advanced gateway technology of its partner Nepting, this ambitious project will see all new Spire Payments SPm20 installations throughout France.
